Client Need

Crystal Cummings, founder of Peace Counseling Center, came to us at a pivotal moment. After more than three decades in the clinical field and supervising over 150 licensed psychotherapists, she was launching a group practice built around a team approach to mental health care. Before California’s Medi-Cal approval process would move forward, she needed a professional web presence that demonstrated the practice was established, credible, and ready to serve clients.

The existing website was a placeholder from a business registration bundle and did not reflect her vision. There was no brand identity, no copy, and no clear path for potential clients to understand who Peace Counseling Center was or how to get started.

Crystal knew exactly how she wanted people to feel when they found her. She described it as the feeling of a sunset over the ocean. Grounded. Peaceful. Like somewhere you could finally rest. She just needed someone to translate that into a brand.

Solution

We started from scratch, building the brand identity and website together so that every decision, from the color palette to the copy, supported the same emotional experience.

Brand Identity: We developed a complete visual identity rooted in Crystal’s vision of muted coastal tones. The color palette draws from ocean sunsets, with soft blues, warm creams, dusty pinks, and earthy neutrals that feel calm without feeling clinical. Typography and logo design were kept simple and recognizable, built to work across print, web, and screen.

Web Copy: Before a single word went on the page, we developed Crystal’s brand voice through our Brand Voice Blueprint service. That process gave us a clear, documented foundation for how Peace Counseling Center sounds, the tone, the language, what to lean into, and what to avoid. From there, we wrote all of the website copy in her voice. Warm, strength-based, and deeply professional, the copy speaks directly to people who are looking for a therapist without talking down to them or oversimplifying what it takes to show up and do the work.

Website Design: The site was built on WordPress using a clean, modern layout optimized for mobile, tablet, and desktop. The design mirrors the brand identity with generous white space, calming imagery, and a clear path for prospective clients to learn about the practice and take the next step. A custom staff directory makes it easy for visitors to get to know the team before they ever book an appointment. A built-in blog serves as an ongoing resource for both new and existing clients, while also expanding the SEO footprint of the practice over time.

Stock Photography and Video: To bring the site to life visually, we curated a collection of stock photos and videos that align with the brand’s coastal, calming aesthetic. Every image was selected to reinforce the feeling of peace and professionalism that Crystal wanted visitors to experience.

Domain and Hosting: We handled the full domain and hosting setup, and maintain both so Crystal can stay focused on her clients and managing her team.

On-Page SEO: Each page was built with SEO best practices in mind, giving the site a strong foundation for organic search visibility as the practice grows.
